To ensure the highest level of accuracy for our drone mapping, we strategically placed and surveyed Ground Control Targets (GCTs) throughout the park. These GCTs, along with a check-in to an integrated control monument, provided essential reference points for orthorectification and quality control of the drone imagery.

‍‍ Utilizing drone technology, we captured high-resolution aerial imagery of the park. This imagery was then processed to create a color orthomosaic, providing a detailed and up-to-date visual representation of the park. A Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was also generated, providing valuable topographic information.

‍‍ In areas where GPS signal was obstructed by trees or buildings and drone access was limited, we employed a robotic reflector less total station. This allowed us to accurately survey features in challenging environments, ensuring complete data coverage.

All collected data – GPS points, drone imagery, total station surveys, orthomosaic, and DEM – were seamlessly integrated. This comprehensive dataset was then used to create a detailed site plan, tailored to Waterkind Consulting’s workflow and compatible with their design software.
